A new month means a new results post. Development of the first update of Lanaya’s chapter is progressing smoothly. It’s about halfway done, but that means there is still another half left. Developing the first update of a new chapter always takes longer than usual. To liven up the wait, we’re releasing v0.22, containing some bugfixes for chapter 4 and one new bathroom scene with Luna, accessible after the photoshoot. It’s available to everyone immediately, so we’re releasing the offline version immediately too.

We have already planned out chapter 5’s content, so let me give you a little more info on what you can expect. The details might change, but plot will revolve around 7-9 new questions from the tavern’s patrons, like in chapters 1 and 3. The main difference are the new side activities. Every location will get its own little quest with a few ways to solve it. The results of these activities can influence how Luna responds to truth or lie questions and allow players to unlock new scenes. The chapter will have 4 to 7 endings like before. Some will be “dead ends” and some will lead the player to the conclusion of the main plot. I already know how it’s going to end (spoilers: morning will come!), and there will be multiple versions of the epilogue too. In the current rough draft, two epilogues will be available by default, and five can be unlocked by completing previous chapters in a specific way.

Chapter 5 will also get its own “secret” route only available to Offlaner and higher tier patrons. We considered two ideas: a BDSM dungeon and a gloryhоle, and chose the latter. We have a specific vision - we’d like to add some small gameplay elements to the “sitting in a stall with holes” experience, but at the same time we don’t want to introduce too many mechanics. If you have your own ideas about the perfect gloryhоle gameplay, we’re open to suggestions. We will start working on it in earnest a few updates after the start of chapter 5.

We’re planning to make a scene for every key moment in the story, be it an ending or an answer to yet another drinking game question. Frankly speaking, it’s a hell of a lot of scenes, so we can safely say that Luna in the Tavern will provide you with content for all of 2022. But at the same time, we were never going to turn this story into an endless slog, so morning will come to the tavern sooner or later.
